Oakland's is located at Tresparrett midway between Boscastle to the south and Crackington Haven to the North. The world famous ruins at Tintagel are only three miles on from Boscastle. To the north of Tresparrett lies Crackington Haven and the surfing beaches of Widemouth Bay and the resort town of Bude. The Horseshoe Inn is only a five minute walk from Oakland's were in local food is served.

For those interested in Thomas Hardy, you can walk down through the Valency Valley to Boscastle, stopping along the way at St Juliot's Church, where Thomas Hardy was assigned to oversee the restoration of the church in 1870.

From the M5 take the A30 to Launceston, one mile past Launceston take the A395 (North Cornwall Route) at Hallworthy take 2nd right on the 83262 to Otterham Station, At Otterham Station turn right onto the A39, then first left to Marshgate, then first left to Tresparrett, Oakland's is at the end of the village, the last house on the right hand side.
